At least that's what I thought when I first looked into unlocking the DVD feature for my Wiii, thinking it was gonna be easy.

One thing before we go on, you do have to unlock your Wii to install the new DVD feature, it's ok though it's 100% safe!

I thought, just pickup a free guide over the internet, make sure people are using it by reading comments left on the guide and no sweat!

Wow was I wrong, using the free guide that was plastered all over the internet was the total opposite of being easy to use.

Now my own personal Wii is bricked (broken) and I can’t even get passed the first screen (the one that says press “A” to continue) that's as far as I get.

Luckily I've got a few friends that are computer geniuses and where willing to help me out and get my Wii back and running like normal.

Fortunately my friend Jerry managed to get my Wii running past the first screen again, thank god! But it also took him 3 days, let’s just say he was’t too happy and asked me what the hell I did to my Wii to mess up as bad as it was!

I told him:

"Um yeah I found a free Wii unlocking guide on some forum and everyone was saying it worked so I gave it a try and voala! Bricked Wii"

He wasn't to happy , so I won’t be trying any more free guides unless it's recommended by someone I know and trust.

Lesson learned! No more free guides for me.

So What Choices Do You Have To Unlock Your Wii and Install The DVD app?

Well the only real choices you have to unlocking your Wii are:

1. Buy an already unlocked Wii:
But your going to have to pay the price and it's not so cheap... Try close to $500.00
bucks on for size. I know, it’s ridiculous, nobody in there right mind should pay 500 bucks for a Wii that's been pre-unlocked becasue you never know what your going to get!!!

2. Find a free guide on the internet:
Ok if you've already read my story you should know to steer well clear of these guides
because all you’ll be getting is trash information that I pretty much guarantee you WILL brick your Wii if any tiny detail or step was missed!

And downloading the files from unknown sources can led to even more disasters!

3. Unlock it Yourself:
Then you have the guides that are proven to work by not only me but hundreds and even thousands of Wii gamers like you. These guides have everything all mapped out and are safe to download the files from, so even a 10 year old can unlock there very own Wii.

I was out to look for the best Wii Unlocking guide that had everything from a highly detailed eBook that wouldn’t have me guessing what to do next, and that had videos that I could use just in case I wanted to see it done before I dug in!
